Open & offline · nothing leaves your device

Back up your seed phrase. Trust no server.

Web3 Coin Vault encrypts your 12 or 24-word recovery phrase inside your own browser, then hands you an encrypted file. No account, no database, no company that can read your words — including us.

Why it's different

Your phrase never leaves this device

Most "wallet backup" pages are traps: they ask you to type your phrase, then quietly send it to whoever built the site. Web3 Coin Vault is built the opposite way — encryption happens locally, and a strict browser policy stops the page from making any outbound connection at all.

Encrypted on your machine

AES-256-GCM with a key stretched from your passphrase using PBKDF2-SHA256 at 600,000 iterations. Done entirely by your browser's crypto engine.

No servers, no logging

No IP addresses, no device fingerprints, no location, no admin dashboard. There's nothing on the other end because there is no other end.

Only you hold the key

Your passphrase never leaves your head. Without it the backup file is unreadable — even to someone who steals the file itself.

How it works

Three steps, all local

Enter your words

Type or paste your 12 or 24-word phrase into the numbered boxes. Paste fills every box at once.

Set a passphrase

Choose a long passphrase only you know. This is the single key that unlocks the backup later.

Download the file

The encrypted file saves to your device. Keep it and your passphrase apart — an offline drive is ideal.

Web3 Coin Vault vs. a phishing "backup" site

The design decisions are what separate a real self-custody tool from a trap. Here's exactly where they diverge.
